printing/emailing pdf's

I have Access 2003 and Adobe Acrobat Professional 7.0. I'm trying to create a
procedure that will programmatically create several pdf's, prompt for a file
name then store each file in a designated location. At the same time, I want
another procedure that will create pdf's, prompt for a filename and then
programmatically email them. TIA.....

As for emailing them, you can automate outlook to do this. Take a look at

Thanks, but these references are several years old. They don't work in the
XP/Adobe 7.0 environment (for example, the registry path for the first item
isn't a match to what's in XP). They still produce a prompt when the pdf is
to be created.

By switching to the pdf virtual printer and sending the report you will be
prompted for the name. You can capture that info to use in your email
function.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear about something... I want to bypass the file name
prompt within Acrobat and prompt for a filename, then save each of several
reports in different locations with the same filename. So, the user would be
prompted "what filename do you want?" and they would respond with
"filename1". Each report would then be stored as filename1.pdf in each of
several designated directories.
