Printing Envelopes ona Dell 720

I was previously able to print envelopes, but had to reload my entire system
including works suite and word. Now the envelope goes through the printer as
if printing, but nothing prints. I tried mail merge envelopes, then tried a
single envelope but niether works. I can print the file to regular paper,
just not on a envelope. It has to be something stupid that I am forgetting
to do, but I have a project due monday morning so I dont have time to be
stupid, HELP!

If you tell the printer that you're printing an envelope, but stick in a
whole piece of paper, instead, does the envelope text get printed? I'm
guessing it does. This might give you a clue about exactly how the printer
thinks the envelope is oriented. For most printers, there are settings where
you tell the printer how the envelope is going to be fed so that it directs
the ink into the correct location.

In the Print dialog, I'd check Properties to see what options you have.
There might be something you can change there, or it might be a matter of
feeding the envelopes differently (or pushing a different button on your
printer).

Yes it will print to a regular piece of paper, however, when I use the printers required load site for the envelope, windows tells me I have changed the recommended way (which is centered). If I try the way windows wants the envelope entered the printer does not recognize that paper is loaded. If I use the printer recommended way nothing prints.

It sounds like the printer driver is screwy. I'm wondering if you might've
installed an updated printer driver a while back, and haven't done that
since reloading the system. Have you checked on the printer mfg's site (I'm
assuming the Dell 720 refers to a printer) to see if a newer printer driver
is available?

Depending what *exactly* you mean, you may need to reinstall *all* your hw
and mobo drivers
