your printer margins on an envelope may be larger than the default envelope
setting in Word. You can overide some of these under options in the envelope
dialog box or you can click "add envelope to document" and make margin
changes as neccessary.

I was thinking much the same thing. Also, did you notice the post that
avoided i/I altogether by just omitting the pronoun?

I still Can Not Get the Margins set for an INVITATION Size ENVELOPE?
I have Read What That Website Has But No luck. WHY?

What is an 'invitation size envelope' supposed to convey? You can only setup
envelopes sizes that the printer driver will allow as Word takes its page
sizes from the printer driver. For other sizes, use the next larger standard
size and make up the difference with margins and formatting.

I wouldn't rely too much on that link. Word is poor with custom paper sizes.
It gets the page sizes from the printer driver. Custom sizes will usually
adapt to the nearest defined size. Some drivers will allow you to define
paper sizes. Others won't.

I'll confirm that too. If the printer doesn't accept the size because it
isn't in its own 'list', it will change to the nearest size.

So as Graham has already suggested, use the next size up as listed
'standard' by the printer driver and adjust page margins to produce the
desired results. Save it as a template.
