has anyone experienced problems printing out envelopes? Print
preview looks good, printer feeds paper, but it comes out blank. I have
done all the latest updates to Office X (10.1.5). My print settings are
custom with a #10 envelope.
I have also tried printing a regular Word document, which prints out
fine.
Thanks in advance for any help
Hi Kelley,
<sigh> I hate these envelope printing issues. There doesn't seem to be an
easy or even a single solution. The problem *might* be with your Custom
setting. See the post I've reproduced below my signature. If that doesn't
help, do a Google Advanced Newsgroups Search on this group for "printing
envelopes" (no quotes). You'll find other possibilities there.

I am having a major problem trying to print envelopes. The problem is when
I create the envelope, the text appears in the "on-screen" envelope.
However, when I print preview, there is not text. Does anyone have a clue
as to what the heck is going on? I would appreciate anyone's assistance.
This problem is more than a little aggravating! Thank you kindly.
I had sort of the same problem. When I selected a envelope from the
File > Page Setup, the print margins were huge, much bigger then need
be. The margins weren't adjusted until I chose Format > Document, but
they were there in the print preview and in printing.
I solved this by selecting Microsoft Word from the above mentioned Page
Setup menu. Microsoft Word is available from the top left pull down menu
in Page Setup. In the Microsoft Word menu, I chose "Custom" and uncheck
the box "use custom format". I clicked OK. Then I got back in Page
Setup. chose Microsoft Word again and clicked "Default". Now it works
perfectly.
My setup: Word 2001, OS9.1, HP Deskjet 970cxi
Hope this helps.
