Printing Errors

Sean

Hi, trying to print a report that I created, but every
time I do I get an error. MSACCESS.EXE has caused a gpf
in the module GDI.EXE.

I am using MS Access 2000 and Win98, any ideas on where to
look?

Sean, there are a number of things that could cause this.

If it happens with only one report, there's a good chance that the report is
corrupted.
Close Access.
Clean up your temp folder (typically c:\windows\temp).
Run a scandisk (Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools).
Open your database.
Compact/repair (Tools | Database Utilities).

If the problem is still there, delete the report. Compact again. Create the
report.

If that still doesn't solve it, create a new database and import everything
else.

If the problem occurs with other things as well, there may be a problem with
the printer driver - particularly as Windows is reporting the GDI is the
issue. Try a different printer. If that solves the problem, you need an
updated printer driver.
