Does anyone know how to arrange a page layout so that the
file name is printed somewhere on the page?

Dave,

Insert the following field code in your document where you
want the filename to appear:

{FILENAME \* MERGEFORMAT}

Make sure you use Ctrl F9 to insert the curly braces.
Typing them in will not work.

And if you want the full path, make it { FILENAME \p }.

Go and put a footer on the page and then insert auto
text. There will be one there for filename and it will
print on the bottom of the page. Select View Headers and
Footers and then put it in there.
