Printing Format Symbols

How can I print my document with all the format symbols included? Everytime
I turn them on, and send the print job, it just prints the standard document.
I'm sure there's a hotkey or something. Anyone?

If by "format symbols" you mean the dots for spaces, arrows for tabs, etc.,
there ain't no "hotkey or something" to print them. Those formatting marks
are "non-printing characters." You can take a screen shot of the page and
print it, one page at a time, but tabs and spaces and returns don't print.

There is no hotkey. What you call "format symbols" are what Word calls
"nonprinting characters", precisely because they don't print
(http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm).

Although you could tediously replace all the nonprinting characters with
printable characters of the same glyphs
(http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/InsertSpecChars.htm), that would change
the document's line breaks and other layout. A better idea is to take screen
shots with the nonprinting characters showing, and print those. A tool like
Snagit (http://www.techsmith.com) will make that job easier.
