Printing from Entourage to Epson Photo R1800

I recently upgraded to Leopard. Since doing so I cannot print directly from Entourage to my Epson R1800 printer. I get the message "media not loaded correctly". I can print successfully from every other Office 2004 application. A fix is to use 'preview' and print from there but it is time consuming to have to do this. I have downloaded the latest printer drivers but these do not fix the matter. I have spoken to Epson who say 'it is a known issue'.

Does anybody have the same problem, or even better a solution?

Let's eliminate first to see where the problem is located.

1. Create a new Identity in Entourage and test. If the problem goes away
it's corruption in your Identity. Rebuild your database.

2. If the problem still exists, then go to System Preferences --> Create a
New User in Accounts. Switch to the New User by logging out/in or use Fast
User Switching. Test Entourage there. If it works, then this indicates it's
your User's folder that has the problem. If it does not work, then it is a
system problem.

Did you upgrade Leopard to 10.5.2? If not, then download the combo updater
rather than use the software updater.

Is this a "known issue" with Epson and *they* have to fix it? Or is this
a "known issue" that Epson is working with Microsoft or Apple to fix?
Whose problem is this to fix?

If you haven't already then you should get clarification. If Epson
acknowledges that *they* or someone else needs to fix something then
you're probably beating a dead horse trying to fix this yourself.
