Printing from finder in OSX (broken?)

There seems to be a problem printing MS Word docs from the finder in
OSX.

If I have a folder of 14 docs, highlight them all, and slide them onto
the printer icon, I get 14 copies of the first document!

This used to work so well in OS9,

Is there some way to print a bunch of documents from the finder in OSX?

What version of Word, what version of OS X?

I didn't actually test printing anything, but letting it spool to the
printer window showed the same behavior, Word 2004, OS X.3.6.

Hi and thanks for the response.

I'm running OS 10.3.7 (on a dual 2.5 G5) with
MS Word 2004 for Mac, Version 11.1 (as part of Office 2004)
