printing graphic background inconsistancy

We have a document with an embedded graphic, which for one user, prints with
a transparent background, while another user (same printer) it prints with a
shaded background (which is unwanted). Graphic is within a textbox.

Any idea what could account for this?

Printer is a network hp 8100.
