Printing/graphics programs

I was wondering if there are any graphics programs that would be good for
creating logos and such but also inexpensive and still do a good job. I
need black text and 4 colors included in the logo and also need to know what
the best format would be to include the logo in Publisher so that it looks
very nice printed. I have heard of Paint Shop Pro, is this a good program?
I want to create my own logo and print up my own letterheads and business
cards using Publisher 2002.

Go here and get PagePlus5 for free. Sure it is an old version, but works and runs perfectly on all operating systems.
Sure the interface is cludgy and but it has a app built in called LogoPlus which you will find does a great job. They can easily be copied and pasted over into Publisher.
I suggest you register at that website with your proper details and e-mail address, as they send out *UN-believable* offers at times. The majority of us regulars here use later versions and Publisher. I am a huge fan of Serif DrawPlus. Their teaching program on CD is *excellent*.

Why not just do it in Publisher? It's inexpensive and flexible. You just need to use your imagination. My advice: Talk to your printing shop first and see if they can accept Publisher files. Many cannot.

Robin,

It's not a MS product (but then neither is PSP) but you might want to
consider DrawPlus from Serif: www.serif.com You can export a file that
Pub will import.
