Printing Home Made Templates

Mike

I have created several templates for colleagues, but when they try to print
them the printer feeds out plain paper! Pre installed/downloaded templates
work fine. Any ideas whats gone wrong?

Hi Mike,

Can you provide some more specifics on the templates?

What version of Office are you using?

What app are your templates created in and is it the same version being used by others?

What type of content is in the template?

Are others opening the template or creating new documents from the templates?

Does print preview show the content correctly?

Hi Bob,

I'm having a similar problem printing my logos on my templates as well. I
created my logo on a drawing program called OPEN CANVAS. Once I finished, I
copied and pasted it onto IRFANVIEW. From there I pasted into Microsoft Word
and I'm using the 2003 version.

When I click Print Preview, it shows it perfectly fine, but when it prints,
my logo is all grainy and the color is lost. Do you have a solution to stop
it from printing my logo so grainy?

Thanks

Hi Neiro,

Graphics tend to be more reliable when inserted into Word (Insert=>Picture) rather than pasted. If your picture is intended for
print use then JPG may not be the best source for retaining the fidelity of the graphic.

Open Canvas can save in PNG or JPG so not sure if you need to run things through Irfanview first.
