Printing imported eps files

P

PS

I have a problem with eps files imported in Word 2001.
The eps file contains text in outlines at 8 and 9 points.
They display not smooth at all, but more important,
when I print they are of low quality.
I've tried about everything to solve the problem
(including importing jpeg or tiff files with the text - same problem)
but nothing worked.
Does someone have an idea why this happens
and how I can print high quality imports including text from Word?

Tiff with enough dots/inch say 600dpi should have worked regardless of
printer.

Are you printiing to a postscript printer or one with good emulation?
If not, word will print the preview, just like it does on screen.

If you have Panther (OS X 10.3.x) try this:-

Print->output options->print to file->ps
Open the ps file in Preview. How does it look?
(You may have to install a fake PS printer)
What happens when you print the PDF from Preview?
