Printing in Black and White not working

The "print to black and white" option has suddenly stopped working for
charts. The axes and bars print as white or very light greyscale
depending on the origin color (generally white or yellow in my
templates).

I believe this happened either after upgrading to 11.1.1 OR, perhaps
more likely, after upgrading ot OS 10.3.9.

Is this a known bug? Any advice on how to get to a true black and white
option without reformatting individual slides every time I need to
print handouts?
