Printing Issue

Several issues.
Office 2003, SP2, Windows XP Updated, New HP Computer AMD3500+, 1GB RAM

Printing
I can be in a word doc and hit print, it will not print till all word docs
are closed. No error messages appear. Then once they all close, it says
"there is a document that is queued to print" with options to print. Then it
prints fine. This does not happen consistently, but happens often.

Opening Document
Often a document will not open even when it is double clicked to open. If I
restart the computer, it works fine. This often happens when another word
document is already open.

Both this and your other problem (with opening docs) may well be caused by
an add-in, the most likely/notorious being the Norton AntiVirus Office
Plug-in. These often cause dialog windows (such as the Print dialog) to open
behind the Word window, where you may not notice it unless it also causes
the title bar and Taskbar to flash.

I do not use Norton Antivirus. For antivirus I use AVG.

I posted 2x b/c the first time Microsoft had an error. If you don't have
something constructive to add, then don't add.
