view) to a printer that its not the defualt one. it doesnt matter which
printer he chooses, it always prints to the default one.
Any thoughts?

Hello

Did you mention(set) the printer as default in the form anywhere in the
Priner settings?

Thanks Kalyan,
If I'm looking in the print view properties>Page settings>Printer name =
(default).
The print view is not the default view when openning the file.
Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot in advance

I'm having the same problem. I created a view that is set up to print the
form to a PDF file. I rolled out the form on our sharepoint but on some PC's
it prints to their default printer and others it prints to Adobe PDF the way
it is set up to do. Any help?

Hello

In the Print settings(Print View Properties) select the View from the drop
down which should be printed by default.

Hi,

Thanks for your help in addressing the printing issue. Unfortunately, I
don't think we really got an answer to the original post in this thread, and
I have the same concern.

I created an Infopath form to support users who are constantly on the road
with their laptops. They often need to print their forms to a network printer
at their hotel or visiting office location. When my users invoke the print
dialog from Infopath and select a printer, Infopath seems to ignore their
selection. Instead, it attempts to send the document to the default printer
on their machine. I cannot designate a printer in the view properties,
because I don't know ahead of time, to which printer my users will need to
print. All I know is that it probably won't be the default one on their
machine.

I guess a workaround would be to tell all of my users that they can't select
a printer "on the fly". They need to set the current printer as default
before they attempt to print. But I'd hate to do that.

I don't suppose anyone got anywhere with this? I'm having the same issue, pick a non-default printer and it prints to your default printer anyway. Easy to get around by just changing your default printer, but hard to explain to some users... Please let me know if anyone found a fix for this. Thanks!!
