Printing Issues on WORD 2008 and XEROX Phaser 6110 MFP

I am having problems trying to print any existing docs (created from WORD
2003, 2007 and WinXP) into MAC WORD 2008. I am able see the text during edit
mode. However, when I use Print Preview, it is showing me as blank. The same
effect when I print the document directly.

I tried using EXCEL 2008 and print functionality is working fine. This is
currently my work around to print a word processing document.

I am also using a network printer (ethernet connection) using XEROX Phaser
6110 MFP. Is there a known issue on MAC OS or Office 2008?

BTW, I tried creating a new word doc on 2008 and I am having the same issue.

Thank you in advance for your help!

When I click on the Print ICON, Print Preview is showing as blank. I can see
another screen flipping then suddenly it will disappear. Then a blank screen
will follow.

I have no problems with Excel, Powerpoint or TExtEdit using the same printer
driver. This issue is only for WORD 2008

Hi Beth,
I assume you want me to try printing it out using the terminal? I do
apologize for my ignorance, this is just my 5th day exploring my imac. I
have not tried this option yet.

To answer your 2nd inquiry, yes I did try saving the file in docx and try to
open it back again. It gives me the same result.

What I am doing now is to continue using Word 2008 and Save my docs on Word
2000-2004 compatible. I use my laptop to access the docs and print from
there. My laptop is pretty slow that's why I would rather use my imac during
the day. It is just annoying that I have to switch to another machine just
to print out my documents.

Another point I wanted to add, I know that WORD 2008 is capable of saving as
PDF format? This too is not working for me, it gives me a blank page every
time. What I am doing now is to access a free service PDF.org in google that
translates any WORD doc to PDF. After translating the PDF, I am now able to
print it through my printer. Let me know if this helps you debug my issue?

Hi Ramir,

No, I didn't mean to use the terminal. Sorry I wasn't more explicit. I
meant pressing the Command (Apple) key and the "p" key. But I don't think
it's going to make any difference.

Let me see if I can get someone else to jump in here because I'm at a loss.
Stay tuned.
