Hello,
When trying to print (to Adobe distiller) large reports
(>150 pages, with lots of heavy, linked images) which are
prepared by some VBA code (setting page numbers, different
odd /even page formatting, etc ...) we get lots of minor
errors (invalid use of null) and memory use gradually
increased (up to 1.8 GB as displayed in the
taskmanager !!).
The errors are things like 'invalid use of null', but
after accepting the error message, printing continues and
the final result is fine. As well, when printing small
sections of the report (40 pages or so), no errors occurs.
However, all these error are very annoying (you have to
stay near the computer to click them away), as well we
suppose that the build up of memory usage might give less
memory-equiped computers problems.
So:
1° Anyone any idea why the errors appear? And how to avoid?
2° Is it possible to 'flush' the memory after some amount
of pages? Or to prevent Access from putting the whole
print file in memory?
thanks for any suggestions,
Ward
