We are using Excel 2003 on Windows XP SP2 clients. For several months now,
our users are not able to print multiple copies of an Excel file on several
models of HP printers, using the PCL6 driver. The following error message
is printed after the first page is complete:
PCL XL error
Subsystem: KERNEL
Error: IllegalOperator Sequence
Operator: EndChar
Position: 7138
I have found this issue in Internet discussions, but their solution is to go
back to the PCL5 driver. It was also stated that the problem may have
started after a Windows update.
Does anyone know how to resolve this issue without going back to the PCL5
driver?
Thanks.
