Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

I have a page of text I need to print off.

It comes out very small and packed up into the upper left side of the page.

How can I fix this?

Thanks

Have a look in Format>Document and see what Paper Size and Printing options
you have set.

Paper Size is US Letter.
Printing Options? Normal.
Scale 100%

I don't know where else to look.
One thing I know is that it used to print normally, nothing has changed, i have changed nothing either.

Hi Carol;

Some other basics to check - perhaps there's something that "should" be
changed :)

Check for the following;

1- Apple Menu> About This Mac: What is the full Version number?
2- Word Menu> About Word: What is the full Version number
3- Go to the printer mfr's site & check for an updated driver

Is this happening with all documents you print or just one in particular?

When you say "a page of text" - is this a one page document or a "page
within a larger document? If the latter, how are you going about printing
just the one page - exact steps & settings?

Have you used the Track Changes feature in the document?

Apple Menu Version 10.5.5
Word Menu Full version 12.1.3

I updated the driver for the Brother printer.
I prayed this would work, it didn't.

If I print out 3 pages of text, all 3 pages have the entire text printed tiny in the top left corner of the letter sized page. When I do a test printing, however, I only print one page and on light ink so I don't waste more then I have to.

How do I use the Tracdk Changes feature??

Thank so much, by the way.

I am going to go to the store where I bought this to see if they can help but I can't until next week sometime.

If you're not familiar with Track Changes now isn't the time to be concerned
about it :) You might have a look in Word Help for starters though. I only
asked because Comments & Tracked Changes can cause that type of problem, but
it doesn't sound like that's the case here.

Having installed the new driver it wouldn't be a bad idea to run Disk
Utility - Repair Disk Permissions & restart your Mac. If that doesn't
resolve it try printing from another program, such as Text Edit. Also...

In File> Print select Summary from the 3rd list & check all the current
settings for Layout, Paper Handling & Print Settings.

I did all that you said, all are ok.

I reinstalled the printer disc.
I went to their website and e-mailed them under the troubleshooting section.

I hope to hear back this week.
They did send me a reply that they received my post but that is it.

If a solution is found that fixes this, I'll let you all know.
Thanks so much for helping.

Carol
