Printing not the same as the page

T

tshad

I have set up my page as landscape and built my text to fit on the page
fine.

But when I printed it, it seemed increase the size of the font (arial 9) and
the whole page is messed up when I print it. It shows messed up in the
Print Preview, as well.

To get it to print on one page, I need to change the size to arial 8, which
is virtually unreadable on the screen but prints fine.

Why is this and how do I fix this?

Thanks,

Tom

First of all, make sure that your document is set up in the same page format
used by your printer, i.e. A4, or US Letter. You're bound to see some
changes if you print an A4 to a printer with US Letter paper, and
vice-versa. At the same time, you can also use Word's zoom button to magnify
the text on screen; if you set it to 125%, or 150%, Arial 8pt will still
print as such, but will be much more readable on your computer.
