Printing of HTML Email Headers inconsistent

R

Ron McLay

When HTML emails are printed the Header prints on some emails and on other
HTML emails doesn't. This happens to all users. There doesn't appear to be
any difference in the actual emails themselves and settings in IE cannot be
at fault as the problem manifests on pcs that can also print some HTML emails
with their headers.

We are using Office 2003 and IE7. The problem appears to have orginated
since upgrading to IE7.

Hi Ron,

Thanks for your post!

This is a known issue that you work with IE7 and Outlook or Outlook
Express. Microsoft has confirm this is a bug with the new released IE7 and
our develop team is currently working on it. The fix will be released as an
update in the near future.

Meanwhile, I have found some workarounds on this issue:

Workaround 1: Set Paper size to A4
======================

1. On the problematic Email, click File>Page Setup>Paper
2. On the drop down menu under Paper size, choose to select A4 and click OK.
3. See if the Emails are printed right now.

Workaround 2: Set Margin for IE7
=====================

1. Start IE7.
2. Click File>Page Setup. If you cannot see the menu bar, hit Alt key on
your keyboard.
3. Set the Margins to a larger number than the current ones.

Here is a web page that you can reference:

See if the two workarounds can solve your problem. If you have any
questions on it, please feel free to let me know.

We tried the two work-arounds without success but then found that printing
to landscape worked. Any idea when MS will release a fix?
