Printing on HP 1600

When I print a Word 2007 document (Vista O/S) on the above-noted printer, the
document starts printing 1/2" further down the page than what the top margin
is set for. Even a 0" top margin, which my printer supports, starts 1/2" down
from the top of the page. This does not happen with my HP 4M printer. I've
already spent hours on the phone with HP and they say it's a Microsoft
problem.

It would appear that I have the latest driver, however, I can't seem to
verify that.

HP's latest drivers for the 1600 do not work properly on Vista - despite the
fact that they are about a year old now. I'm not entirely convinced that
they work properly on XP either. In fact, I'm not entirely convinced that
any HP drivers work properly anywhere - their hardware is generally nice but
their software leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks for your expert help. I think. I think I'll try and pass this on to HP
somehow.
