MS Visio cannot print properly on this type of printer, does not matter what size you try to print 8.5 x 11, 11 x 17, A3, etc. Does anybody have a fix for this

Hi,

HP 1700cp printer uses Print Language HP PCL3 enhanced, and the issue
which you are facing is a known issue with Visio2003 and printers which
uses this print language.

Workaround Solutions:
1) Change the print Quality
Open the Visio file which you want to take print.
Select File --> Print, select the printer and click [Properties...]
Change the print quality to a different value, click OK
Click [Close]
You should be able to change to the desired quality and print normally
now, until you close Visio.

2) Embed Visio drawing into other Office 2003 programs like Word,
PowerPoint, excel and take a print.

To do this
Open Excel
On the menu click on Insert->Object
This will open Object window.
Click ‘Create from File’ tab and browse to the Visio file (The one
which you want to take the print)
Press Insert button

This will insert the Visio file in excel. Now you can take the print
using excel.

3) Download and install a CutePDF Printer using below mentioned link, make
a PDF file using this printer and then take print.
