Printing Only Half a Page

I have 3 NT 4 workstation users on a W2K network w/ Office XP on the
desktop printing to an HP LaserJet 4000.

Periodically with no apparent pattern pages will come out with only
the first 1/2 or 1/3 of the page printing on. The last part of the
page will be blank. Page 2 begins with Page 2's proper information,
but after a bit down the page it is blank. The information doesn't
RESUME where it left off on the next page, it simply isn't there, and
page 2, page 3, etc BEGIN with the proper information but print only
so much.

Printing the document a second time to the same printer corrects the
problem temporarily. There is no error message either on the printer
or workstation to lead me anywhere.

Deleting and reinstalling the printer has not helped. I've seen
nothing in the groups that seems to pertain to this particular
problem. Anyone with an idea??

It is a driver issue. Update your printer driver to the XP driver
provided. If that does not work, use the HP PCL generic driver. Good
