printing only one copy istead of requested multiple.

I have a machine running Publisher 2003, it has been working fine and then
started to print only one copy of a print job whan asked for a multiple copy.
Example: try to print 3 copies of a single page document and you get only
one print out. Word is ok. Have tried the collate feature in both on & off
states with no success.
Ideas???
