Printing order

I have several documents on my Desktop which I need to print out from time
to time and staple together as a booklet. To print them quickly I select
them with a marquee and R click and Print. This is fine except that they
appear to print in the order of creation rather than any other criterion
(although I'm not sure whether this is, in fact, the method Word chooses). I
would prefer to alter this to save having to re-order the sheets after
printing. How can I make them print in the order I want? I suppose I could
create new documents in the required order, but if I alter a document later
that may disturb the print order. Is there any way of setting the print
order to my requirements?

Why don't you record a macro in the first document, Rob? Have that macro
open each file, print, and close. Store the macro in your normal.dot file,
and create a toolbar button for it, so you can print them with just a
button
click.

Good idea, Anne. I'll try that.

The steps are very similar to this:

I'll be writing one for Word any day now.

I had a go but couldn't make it work. What I've done instead is to put all
the documents into one document so the whole lot prints out as one. Works
well but it's not your answer!
