Printing Page Numbers in My Footer

Hi,
I have a quick question I hope someone has an answer to.
In my 2 page document, in my footer, I insert auto
text "Page X of Y" assuming it will put in "Page 1 of 2"
and viola it does, however, when I print it, it doesn't
come out that way, it comes out "Page 1 of 1" or "Page 6
of 6" when it should be "Page 6 of 16". Its just when
printing it doesn't seem to recognize the other pages.
Why? Can I fix this? Any help'd be great. Thank you so
much.
