Printing page numbers using Word 2004

Page number appears in footer but becomes (Page) in print preview and

This may depend on how you've added the page numbers. The first rule
is don't use "Insert -> Page Numbers…" !

I use "View -> Header and Footer", then in the footer use "Insert ->
Field…", then on the dialogue that appears, in the Category column
select "Numbering" and in the Field Names column select "Page".

Then, before clicking "OK", select "Options…" and make sure it's the
format you want.
