Printing pleading documents

I am a lawyer and I hope that doesn't mean that you won't help me.

I use Word 2003. When I print a legal pleading, the bottom left hand corner
about 1.5 inches from the bottom and 1.5 inches from the side. This happens
on all printers. However the same document printed from other computers in
the office prints fine. Our pleading has a "header" on the side which
contains our firm name and the line numbers and a footer that has the page
number and the name of the document.

I did not have this problem in Word 2000

Suzanne:

You're right - what I meant to write was that there is a block of about 1.5
inches from the bottom and 1.5 inches from the left side that is missing.

Your solution did not help. The same pleading that I print from my computer
to different printers all print the same - not only with this 1.5 square
missing from the bottom left corner but also from the bottom 1/2 of the page.
The same pleading printed from other computers to the same printes prints
fine. To test whether it is something inherent in the form, I downloaded a
pleading template from the Microsoft site and printed it. This form also did
not print to the bottom of the sheet but not as dramatic as on my form.

Any further help?

If you have different operating systems or versions of the operating system,
take a look at http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TextReflow.htm.

What was the URL of the pleading template you downloaded? I'll have a look
and see if I can figure out what the problem is. Also, what printer are you
using?

I would still strongly suspect an invisible frame or text box or other
drawing object. If you clear the check box for "Drawing objects" on the
Print tab of Tools | Options, do you still see the same effect?

Okay, I'm looking at the downloaded template, and I don't see a problem. How
have you customized the template? I believe you said something about a box
anchored to the header (aside from the one already there with the line
numbers?) and something in the footer? Perhaps you'd like to email me a
sample doc you're having trouble with?

Here is the url:

I cleared the Drawing Objects and same result.
