Hi Bill,
Sorry to be so long getting back to you. I was hoping somebody else might
chip in with a suggestion, since I don't really know what else the problem
might be. But since there's been nothing else, here's a couple of points
you might like to check:
You say that "in print preview it states one page". Is that value from the
page selector (which will allow you to navigate to the second (likely blank)
page if the problem is a margins setting as I first suggested), or is it
from a page number set in the report's page footer?
If you have a page footer in the report, does it appear on the extra page in
your printout? If you don't have a page footer, try adding one (with
controls to print "Page x of y pages"), and see if it appears on the extra
page. If you don't see the page footer on the exta page, the problem is
most likely external to Access. If you do see it, then check that there's
no large (and empty) report footer or group footer section(s) in the report,
or perhaps that there's no blank records in the detail section (with
controls not set to Can Shrink).
As a final clutch-at-a-straw, perhaps it's something odd, like the report's
print setting set to duplex (double-sided), and the printer(s) not being
able to print duplex so the extra page is the blank reverse side of the
first page. Or even the printer being set to duplex and not able to handle
it- although that's less likely, since it happens with several
machines/printers.
Sorry I can't be of more help,
Rob
PS. What is the "workorder" template for Access 2003? I checked the
Microsoft Office Online for Access 2003 templates, and don't see anything of
that name there. I would have downloaded it and checked the report you
mentioned, had it been available.
