For Word 97: File, Page Setup..., Margins tab. Make sure APPLY TO is set
for Whole Document. Reduce the Top Margin to zero and click OK. You will
get an error message. Click the FIX button.

Word has been told of the capabilities of your printer. In this case, you
are trying to print very close to the edge of the paper. Note that even if
there isn't any actual text close to the edge, the fact is that there are
margins close to the edge that *could* contain text.

Your printer has "unprintable" areas of the paper. These areas are where
it's impractical or impossible for the printhead to squirt ink.

When you clicked the FIX button, all margin settings that ran over into
these areas were re-adjusted.

This is a driver issue. Upate your drive to the HP PCL or PCL 6 driver
from the available list of drivers when you "update" driver. Good
luck.
