Printing problem with Word 2003

On my layout page in Word 2003 the page numbers in the Footer show just
fine. However, when I go to Print Preview or actually print all I get is
[Page] instead of the number.

What did I do wrong?

I found out that I had selected "Document Properties" and "Field Codes" in
the "Options" folder, "Print" tab which caused this printing problem
