Printing Problem

I have a Word 2003 document that contains over 4,000 pages. I am trying to
print a range of pages, like page 2000 to page 3000. You can see the print
job going to the print spooler, but nothing happens..it never prints. I
get no printer error messages. Nothing is in event viewer.
I can print if I choose "current page". But this would be very inconvenient
to try to print 2,000 pages this way.
I have tried 3 different computers and 3 different printers. All with the
same result, so something must be wrong with the document.
Anyone have any ideas as to where to look for an answer for this problem?
Thanks, and have a good day!

If you're trying to print parts of a mailmerge, then each merged
record is in a different section, so print the section number
instead of the page number. For example, if you want to print
merged records 2000 to 3000, then enter "s2000-s3000" (no quotes)
in the Pages box in the File->Print dialog.
