Printing problems with Publisher 2003

Michel Bourque

I make digital collages with Publisher 2003 and i print on a HP Deskjet 842C.
With Publisher 2000 I never had a problem. With Publisher 2003 parts of the
printed image are often different than what is on the computer/print preview.
Some objects (cliparts for examples) move in relation to each other on the
prints or do not print totaly (unless i extend the size of the box that
contains the image and still they often end up overlaping each other). i have
the most recent HP printer driver and all the current updates. SP2 is also
installed. I have to paste objects incorrectly on the computer to obtain a
correct print after trial and errors!
Any ideas

I don't have an actual solution for you but
just as an experiment...try the following.

Save a copy of your finished collage in
an image format...jpg or .tif for example.
Then try printing the image and see if
you still have formatting issues.

Your problem is a printer issue. Are you using the driver that came with the Windows
XP disk? You might want to download the XP driver from the HP web site.
Re-installing your driver might be a solution.
How to clean up printer drivers

In Publisher options, (tools), print tab, check "Print line-by line", that could
help.
