Hello,
I have a system that is running Office 2000 (with SP3). A
few times a day I get one of two messages about printing
to a computer that has it's printer shared:
1. Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current
printer setup.
2. Windows cannot find printer.
A few other points are as follows:
- the system is setup in a domain environment
- the system CAN print to this printer most of the time
- the system has the latest Service Packs (SP) not only
for the Operating System (SP4) but also the Office Suite
- other programs like SYSPRO (financial software) cannot
print as well
- the Microsoft Knowledge Base stated that I should do tow
things... (1) Join a workgroup, reboot, join the domain
again (2) check to see if the WIN.INI file has a section
called [Devices] and if not add them. Option one did not
work. Option two I couldn't do because I didn't know the
settings for a HP LaserJet 6MP.
- this also happens if you select "Print Preview". The
same two messages (one or the other) will be displayed.
I don't know what else to try.
PLEASE HELP!
Regards,
Kurt
