Printing Problems

Kurt

Hello,

I have a system that is running Office 2000 (with SP3). A
few times a day I get one of two messages about printing
to a computer that has it's printer shared:

1. Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current
printer setup.
2. Windows cannot find printer.

This only happens a couple of times a day (not all the
time).

PLEASE HELP.

Regards,
Kurt

Is the printer local or on a network? Is the printer turned on? Have you
tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer? Same with the printer
driver? Does the mfg. have a newer driver that you can install?

It is a network printer (connected to another
workstation). Yes, the printer is on. Yes, I've tried
uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. No the mfg.
doesn not have a newer driver I can install (it is the
latest).

PLEASE HELP!

I would suspect that your network has a problem. Try posting the
question to a newsgroup that addresses questions relating to your
Operating system and networking. They may have an answer as to why the
remote computer is not communicating.
