i can't print or printpreview, i have the program on a standalone PC, not
networked or shared, when i click on print nothing happens, the job doesnt
get sent to the printer...yet any other program on my computer prints just
fine...and when i do a print preview it is completely blank (this is not the
form preview) even though there are tables,textboxes...etc

anyone heard of this?

If you click on "Views" in the right task pane, do you have a "Print View"
setup for your form? InfoPath requires a print view to be present, otherwise
it will not print and the print preview will be blank.

i set up the print view however i am still having the same issue, on top of
that i am having a hard time viewing the gridlines/table borders when i put a
layout in plus my date picker doesnt seem to do anything

First, I would try making your Print View your default view. In the views
right task pane, right click on the print view and select "Set as Default."
This should allow your entered data and date picker to show up correctly in
the print preview. As for your table borders and grids, you may need to
right click on your table and select "Borders and Shading." Here you can set
the type and size of lines you would like for a border. You can also use
this area to remove cell or table borders that you may not want.

sorry Steve none of that works, actualy when i insert a table, it all comes
up in dashed lines and i do not get table proporties when i right click, just
copy, paste, paragraph, hyperlink...etc... i think my problem goes beyond
simple formatting and even after having a print view to default, it still
wont print

What level Service Pack are you running for Office 2003? Click on the Help
menu and then click on About Microsoft Office InfoPath. You should, at
least, be running SP1 if not SP2.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you will see different sets of
properties depending on where you click. The cells within the table have
their own properties as well as the whole table. Click somewhere inside your
table and you will see a little unshaded box appear in the upper left-hand
corner of that table, left-click on that little box. This will highlight the
whole table. Now with the table completely highlighted, right mouse click
and chose borders and shading.

As for your printing issue, did you copy everything from your original view,
switch to the Print View and paste everything? Think of these views as two
separate pieces of paper. What ever you change on the first view, has to be
changed in the Print View as well.

If this doesn't work, I am at a total loss. Good luck!
