Yeah, got it.
That indicates that the files associated with the Lexmark printer driver on
that Mac are missing or corrupted or at the wrong version.
I had the exact same issue with my hairdresser's MacBook Pro the other day.
The cure is:
1) Remove the printer entirely in System Preferences.
2) Go into the /Library/Printers folder and remove the Lexmark folder
(delete it).
3) Now, go back to System Preferences and "Add" the printer again. At that
stage, the system should complain that files are missing and offer to run
Software Update for you. If it doesn't, before trying to print anything,
run Software Update.
That should then "discover" that you need a printer driver update and
install it for you. The trick is to remove both the printer and its
preferences. Then when the system attempts to add the printer, it discovers
it has an out-dated driver.
Sorry this is a bit unclear, I am currently on an aircraft and I don't have
a Lexmark printer. If you need proper details, ring Lexmark support.
