Printing Selected Pages

I am unable to print just selected pages in Word 2008. I can choose the radio button next to "From" and put in my selected pages. But then the preview show a blank page and that's exactly what prints - a blank page. All other printing features seem to work fine.

Hi Duck,

Are you saying that some documents print fine but others when you try to
select a page range show a blank page? I¹m making the distinction because
other users have reported that *all* attempts to print from Word 2008
whether whole docs or page range selections produce a blank print preview
and a blank printed page.

All of my documents print fine except when I try to select a page range. Then I get a blank print preview and a blank print page. This is happening for all of my documents.

It's a bug. There is a fix on the way.

In the meantime, try setting the resolution of the printer to 600 dpi or
below. That works for some people...

Hope this helps

Print a Selection - I'm not sure what you mean. If I select a certain page range it prints a blank page. Print current page does work.

Sorry--Select (highlight) the text in the document itself and then
select "print selection" in the File Print dialog, which should print
the selected text. Trying to see if this is a viable workaround.

I have the challenge of having a 10 page document and then making a change on page one, but when I go to the print menu, I do not see where to select the pages to be printed. I only want to reprint page one, but I'm forced to print all 10 pages. (I have the Student & Teacher Edition of Office:mac 2004).

In the Print dialog, you should be able to select the "From" button and
enter from 1 to 1.

There should also be a Page Range field that you can type 1 into.

Make sure that the unlabeled dropdown at the top of the dialog (not
Printers or Presets, the third dropdown) is set to Copies and Pages.

How do you print a selected page? If you have a five page document and you
want to print 'page 5'??

Either of 2 ways:

Go to page 5, then File> Print, click the option for Current Page, or

Go to File> Print, click From:, then enter 5 in both the From &To: boxes.
