Hi all,
I've read through the same type of problems regarding printing symbols
from the Word application.
I have tested printing symbols from TextEdit application that comes
with the Apple OS. The same problem occurs. Symbols cannot be printed,
nothing happens to the printer. When I removed the symbols from the
document, the document can then be printed without any problems. So
the problem seems to be with Apple OS.
I've tried printing using the AutoSelect and the Generic printer
drivers on both Word X and TextEdit and I get the same results, no
symbol can be printed.
I've read from somewhere that Apple OS 10.2+ is not fully compatible
with most branded printers. Does this mean that Apple OS needs to fix
this problem? Or is it the printer manufacturer that needs to fix this
problem? I have a HP 4050N printer. Any help is most appreciated on
this matter.
Thanks in advance.
