Printing table in Word 2007 Beta

I have a document which I use for printing CD inserts. Created in Word 2003
in whch it worked fine.
It has a table with three fields. Left field prints text vertically up.
Centre field is normal alignment and right field prints text vertically down.
In Word 2007 Beta the text in the left field will NOT print within the cell
- it is offest to the right and only the top 20% of the letters shows and it
makes no difference what cell or text alignemnet is set. It looks fine in
print preview mode but does not print as displayed on screen. Same happens
with a fresh table created in Word 2007 Beta. Printer is HP deskjet 920c. Up
to date drivers.

What if you save it as a PDF -- will that print properly?

Or how about if you save it as a Word 97-2003 document. Does it print
correctly then? Or can you take it to a machine with an earlier version of
Word and see if that lets you print?

Printing to or saving as pdf improves things and is a suitable short term
workaround. Saving as 97-2003 is of no help. Problem persists. I could of
course use another machine which does not have 2007 beta - or uninstal the
beta.

But that is not the point. In 6-12 months I will only have access to Office
2007 and will want this to work without messing around with pdf. I use this
file a lot.

In 6 months, or thereabouts, Office 2007 will no long be a beta. Hopefully
major issues will be taken care of by the time they release it.

You should use the Send a Smile tool to report issues.

My suggestions were only to be considered workarounds while using the beta
preview software.

Many thanks. That is actually what I wanted to do ! I was directed to the
newsgroups by an MS email which said "Don't forget to check out the
newsgroups - you can post questions and bugs as well as seeing what other
people think of the beta. " It forgot to mention this tool !

I know. Microsoft pushes beta preview participants to the newsgroups for
assistance and discussion, but they fail to inform you guys of how to
actually file bugs. (I suspect that's because the vast majority really are
just previewing as opposed to being interested in filing bug reports, but I
don't know for sure.) And sometimes it's hard to distinguish between a "bug
report" and a request for assistance.

At any rate, I completely understand your frustration and confusion because
it frustrates and confuses me, too! ;-)
