Printing to Generic / Text printer

I have the printer string required to switch the printer to 17CPI correct.
However, my columns come out misaligned to the extent that Column D and
later are completely off the page. Anyone have any ideas. I've tried
column width specifications, different numerical formats, cell alignments,
etc. When printing to an Epson defined as Generic/Text, it works. When
printing to an ANSI compatible Genicom 4440XT (which doesn't have a Win2000
driver at all) Excel doesn't work. MS-Word does. Both are from Office XP.

Thanks,
Mike.

I used a Genicom at work a long time ago. As I recall, it could emulate
many different types of printers. Maybe you can set it to emulate the Epson
if that works.

We tried. Unfortunately, our VAXen requires it be an ANSI printer as there
are bugs in the Epson emulation.
