Printing to saved letterhead

I have a word generated letterhead. I would like to setup a function where I
can write in a blank page, and then print it using the saved letterhead: i.e.
it would be as though I loaded the printer with printed letterhead sheets,
and then printed the documents to those sheets.
Would it nbe a "merge" function ? how can can automate this?
Thanks

You could save the letter head page as a template.
Then when you create a new doc, use this template

Its not really a solution unless I printed only from word. I'd like to be
able to do it from excel and/or other office products. So I need somethong
that would "preprint" the template on the sheet while printing the data sent
to the printer.
Thanks

Then create the other templates

NO it isn't practical to create multiple templates. The project is for an
office where not everybody is tech savy.
I've seen something like it a while ago on an ex-collegues PC. If I remember
correctly he had a macro button on the tool bar which activated a printout
automatically using the temple.
I'm looking for something as simple as a button to do the job.

Then make your letter head available to "insert" as a header. Or buy
preprinted letterhead and put it in it's own printer tray.

The letterhead template isn't only composed a header as there is also text as
a footer at the bottom of the page.
The whole idea of using it as a template is to avoid having to buy
preprinted letterhead in the first place.
Makes no sense having the same sheet of paper go through 2 printing cycles.

The issue is that each application handles printing and page setup in a
different manner. I suspect you will discover that you will spend
thousands in the attempt to save pennies, and any programming solution
you create, will need to be reprogrammed constantly to keep the
"solution" working as you change/add programs and users discover new
methods to cause it not to work as envisioned.
