Printing w/o Markup

When I add a comment (Insert | Comment) to a document. The comments show in
color, off to the side. First, I'd rather it worked like a tooltip, i.e.
only display when the cursor is hovering over it. Second, and most
importantly, when I go to print, the default for "Print what" is always
"Document showing markup". I don't see how to make the default for "Print
what" just "Document".

I forgot the mention that I'm using Word 2003 SP1 with WinXP Home.
