Printing watermarks/backgrounds

When i go into either print effects or background and select a watermark to print, it appears on the screen but when I go to print it, nothing comes out. The watermark doesn't appear on the print preview either. Any ideas?!

Is the printer capable of printing a watermark?

Yes it is. The printer is on a network. All other computers are able to print a watermark apart from mine and can't work out why? It's a bit of a pain to ask other people to print things off for me!!
Any ideas what could be wrong?
