Printing with Intenet Explorer.

I think this is a legitimate question since I believe IE is part of Office.
There are many occasions when I wish to print from IE but I don't want the
whole schmear which I get by hitting the Print button but only the first
page. I know I can get what I want from File---Print and selecting Page 1
but is there anyway in which I could set Page 1 as the default for printing?

TIA

The simple way is to highlight what you want to print, go to File/Print and
enable "Selection". This will print only the highlighted area.

Hope this helps,

Ed
BTW IE is not part of Office and will run quite happily without Office being
installed.

printing?

Thanks very much. I've tried that and it does work *if* you go to the
File....Print menu but I'd like to just click the Print button and have the
default as Page 1. I'd be willing to go via the File menu for other choices.

This might be done programmatically BUT you should go to one of the many IE
newsgroups since IE is not part of Office.

AFAIK, there is no registry or other setting that will set the default print
option for IE to only page 1.
