Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!!!!!! You'll have to excuse
me. I am an 18th century citizen trying to communicate
with cyber snobs insulated by their computer
colloquilisms. Yes........I've done this.
Yes.........I've done that. All I want to do is put a
border on a stationary page to send a letter for a job.
Eeevery time I try it for the last 10 years the bottem
border will not print. Why is this? What the hell can be
so difficult about printing a border around a letter with
a header and a footer. I don't want a Phd in MS word.
All I want is a border. Is there a man out there with a
5th grade education who can give me some advice in
language I can understand. 1950's not Elizabethan
english. Heeeeelp------------

Well you are in good company here - though I don't believe that any of us
were around in the C18th. But there are several MVPs with whom you would
feel quite at home!

Your problem isn't really with Word but with the inability of your printer
to be able to print close to the bottom of the page (i.e. it needs a large
empty margin at the bottom of the page because the printer cannot 'grip' the
very end of the page very well). However, Word confounds this by not being
able to set the border a sufficient way from the page edge.

See the following FAQ for some more information and help:
