Printing wrapped cell not WYSIWYG

A cell with ariel font, text wrapped, shows correctly in "view Page
Layout", and in "Print Preview", but does not print correctly in any
printer we have. The text to the left of the cell is hidden. Any ideas
much appreciated.

Further information. Subsequent to posting, I identified that this
problem only occurred for files transfered from Excel for Windows.
Files created in Office for Mac have no problem.

I also had an email from another user who had the same problem,
contacted Microsoft a couple of months ago, they indicated it might be
a bug, said they'd get back to him, but they have never reverted to him
to date.

On principle, I am reticent to call Microsoft, as they now have a
policy which I consider to be predatory. Only two free tech calls are
allowed for the entire Office for Mac suite, and after that, they
charge $35 a pop, and advised me there is no refund if the problem is a
bug. It's not the $35, it's the gall of it that sticks in the craw.
Anyone who can enlighten me on this would be much appreciated.

I can't ell that this is a solution to the issue you describe. But take it
as a clue:
I have been reported some similar problems with workbooks that had been
created under older versions of Excel and it appeared that printing did not
come out as expected, part of the text being hidden "under" the left border.

The workaround was to set the Print Quality to "High" in the "Page Setup..."
(from the "File" Menu) dialog, and in the "Print..." dialog, make sure the
"Presets" are set to "Standard".

This could be an issue related to the original Print Quality that could be
set to values that are no longer supported in the current version. But well,
as said, this is just a clue, let us know if it points you out...

Bernard - Many thanks. This works just fine. Problem solved for the two
workbooks I had problems with, so it seems likely that it will also
solve future ones. Merci Bien.

Often XL files created in older versions or cross-platform may have the
Print Quality in Page Setup set to "Normal". Unfortunately, that is not
"normal" but should be set to "High". I have seen this problem with
wrapped text in several files which are corrected if the print quality
is changed to "High"
