i am not able to print a document prepared in Word as it
appears when viewing it on screen in ONLINE LAYOUT (see
View drop down box) the document in Print Preview is the
one which one see in MASTER DOCUMENT with the columns
skewed and the paragraphs set left in a row rather than in
the layout I intended, consequtive page wide paragraphs.
Any ideas

Try printing a test page without going through Print Preview--In trying to
print from Outline View, there's a known bug where Word sends different
information to the printer and to Print Preview, so that Print Preview is
not accurate. Something similar may be true for Online Layout.

Are you actually using a Master Document, with subdocuments?

What do you mean by columns skewed and paragraphs set left in a row? (Is it
the same appearance as in Outline View?)

Be sure to tell Word and OS version numbers when you post back.
